The Auspicious AZ-8107 uses a thin flexible rod as its actuator instead of a lever or plunger. The rod can be bent or cut to the length you need, so the switch can be mounted where there is space and still reach the moving part. Contact from any direction along the rod operates the contacts.

That makes it the answer when a lever cannot reach, when the target is irregular, or when the approach angle varies between cycles. The rod also flexes under an overrun rather than snapping, which a rigid lever will not do.

Rated 5A at 250V AC resistive and 0.4A at 125V DC, it switches AC control circuits directly and feeds DC inputs into a PLC. IP65 sealing with dust proof, oil tight construction and stainless steel internals suits machine shops and wash down areas. UL and CE approved, made in Taiwan.

Typical Uses

Reaching past guards and frames to a moving part, detecting irregular or variable targets, textile and paper web sensing, trolley and carriage detection where alignment drifts, and positions where a rigid lever would be damaged by an overrun.

Picking the Right Actuator

The rod suits long reach and uncertain contact points. If the part arrives straight and repeatably, a roller is more precise and cheaper to replace: the adjustable roller lever AZ-8108 shares the same 5A body and price. For contact from any direction with full overrun protection, see the spring type AZ-8166. For angled push, the cross roller plunger ME-8122.

Heavier duty needs a bigger body: the 10A roller lever AZ-5108 or the IP67 big wheel AZ-5108L for lifts and cranes.

FAQ,s

What is an adjustable rod limit switch?

A limit switch with a thin flexible rod as the actuator. The rod can be shortened or bent to suit the installation, and contact anywhere along it operates the switch.

Can the rod be cut to length?

Yes. It is designed to be trimmed or bent so the switch body can sit clear of the moving part while the rod still reaches it.

When should I use a rod instead of a roller lever?

Use a rod when the target is far from the switch, irregular in shape, or arrives at a different point each cycle. Use a roller lever when travel is straight and repeatable.

What does 1NO 1NC mean?

One normally open and one normally closed contact, giving a position signal and an interlock from a single device.

Can it connect to a PLC?

Yes. The 0.4A 125V DC rating covers standard 24V DC PLC inputs.
