The Auspicious AZ-8108 is a lever mini limit switch with an adjustable roller lever, built for position detection in tight spaces. The compact metal body fits where a full size switch will not, while the adjustable lever still lets you set the reach and angle to meet the moving part exactly.

The adjustment is what makes this model worth the small premium over a fixed lever. Slacken the clamp, slide the lever in or out, rotate it to the required angle, and tighten. You can commission the machine, see where the cam actually lands, and correct it on the spot without drilling new mounting holes. The roller at the tip turns instead of scraping, so a cam passing over it thousands of times does not wear the trip point out of position.

Rated 5A at 250V AC and 0.4A at 125V DC, it suits control circuits and PLC inputs rather than direct motor switching. IP65 sealing with dust proof, oil tight construction and stainless steel internals handles coolant, swarf and washdown in machine shops. At 0.2kg it adds almost nothing to the mounting bracket. UL and CE approvals cover it for export machinery.

Common Applications

Lift and elevator door position detection, carriage and slide stops on small machine tools, jig and fixture confirmation, conveyor and indexing table sequencing, packaging machinery, access panel and guard interlocks, and confined mounting positions where a standard size body will not fit.

Choosing the Right Actuator

The actuator must match how the moving part arrives, and the rest follows from the current and the environment. For a long reach onto an irregular target, the adjustable rod mini limit switch AZ-8107 uses a thin rod at the same 5A rating and price. Where the push comes in at an angle, the cross roller plunger mini limit switch ME-8122 accepts contact from more than one side.

If the circuit needs more current, the 10A adjustable roller lever limit switch AZ-5108 is the larger bodied version of this switch, and the 15A roller plunger limit switch AM-1308 can drive a quarter horsepower motor directly. For heavy equipment outdoors, the big wheel limit switch AZ-5108L is IP67 and built for lifts and cranes. Where an overrun could snap a rigid lever, the spring limit switch AZ-8166 flexes and returns. For simple side mount duty, the lever limit switch AZ-7120 is the lowest cost option.

FAQ,s

What is a lever mini limit switch?

It is a compact limit switch with a lever actuator. The moving part presses the lever, the contacts change over, and the machine gets its position signal. The mini body suits mounting positions where a standard switch will not fit.

What is adjustable about the lever?

Both the length and the angle. You can slide the lever in or out and rotate it to meet the cam, then lock it in place, so the switch body itself never has to be repositioned.

Why a roller on the lever tip?

A cam sliding across a bare lever wears it down and shifts the trip point over time. The roller turns instead, keeping friction low and the operating position repeatable.

Can it switch a motor directly?

No. At 5A it is a control circuit device. For direct motor switching use a 10A or 15A model, or have this switch drive a contactor coil.

Is IP65 enough for a machine shop?

Yes. IP65 with oil tight and dust proof construction covers coolant spray, swarf and washdown in normal workshop conditions. For temporary immersion or outdoor exposure choose an IP67 model.

Will it work with very slow movement?

Yes. The operating speed range starts at 0.5mm per second, so it detects slow creeping travel as well as fast moving lines.
