The Auspicious AZ-5108L is a big wheel limit switch built for heavy equipment. The oversized roller wheel on an adjustable lever gives it a much wider contact face than a standard roller, so it catches a cam, gate edge or lift car reliably even when the approach is not perfectly aligned. On cranes and hoists, where nothing arrives at exactly the same spot twice, that tolerance is the difference between a switch that works and one that gets missed.

The lever is adjustable and rotates through 90 degrees, so you can set the wheel to meet the moving part at the right height and angle without moving the switch body. Once set, the mechanism resets itself after each operation and is ready for the next pass.

Electrically it is rated 10A at 125 or 300V AC, with 1HP switching at 250V AC, which is enough to control a motor directly rather than going through a contactor. IP67 sealing is the important part for outdoor duty: the body is fully protected against dust and withstands temporary immersion, so rain, washdown and site conditions do not reach the contacts. Dust proof and oil tight construction with stainless steel internals backs that up. UL and CE approvals cover it for export equipment.

Common Applications

Lift and elevator car position and overtravel protection, crane and hoist end of travel limits, gantry and trolley stops, gate and barrier detection, outdoor material handling equipment, car park and industrial door systems, and any heavy plant application where a small switch would be too fragile or too easy to miss.

Choosing the Right Limit Switch

Wheel size and sealing are what set this model apart, so the choice usually comes down to how rough the environment is and how precisely the moving part arrives. Where the target presses straight down from above, the ball limit switch AZ-5109 shares the same 10A rating and IP67 body but uses a top ball plunger instead of a wheel.

For lighter duty indoor work, smaller options cost far less. The adjustable roller lever limit switch AZ-8108 and the adjustable rod limit switch AZ-8107 cover 5A duty at IP65, the lever limit switch AZ-7120 is a compact side mount unit, and the roller plunger limit switch AM-1308 handles 15A from a top roller plunger. Where an overrun could damage a rigid actuator, the spring limit switch AZ-8166 flexes instead of breaking.

FAQ,s

What is a big wheel limit switch?

It is a limit switch with an oversized roller wheel on an adjustable lever. The large wheel gives a wide contact surface, so it still operates when the moving part does not arrive at exactly the same point every time.

Why use a big wheel instead of a standard roller?

Because heavy equipment moves with more play than a machine tool. A lift car or crane trolley can drift a few centimetres either way, and the larger wheel catches it where a small roller would be missed.

What does IP67 mean on this switch?

IP67 means the body is fully dust tight and can withstand temporary immersion in water. That suits outdoor installations, washdown areas and sites exposed to rain.

Can it switch a motor directly?

Yes, up to 1HP at 250V AC and half a horsepower at 125V AC. Larger motors should be run through a contactor with the switch driving the coil.

What does 1NO 1NC mean?

One normally open and one normally closed contact. When the wheel is pushed, the NO closes and the NC opens, giving both a position signal and an interlock from one device.

Is the lever adjustable?

Yes. The lever rotates through 90 degrees and can be set to meet the moving part at the correct height and angle without relocating the switch body.
