The Auspicious AZ-8122 is a plunger limit switch with a cross roller head, designed for applications where the moving part pushes straight onto the switch rather than sweeping past a lever. The plunger sits in line with the body, so the switch needs very little space around it and can be mounted flat against a panel door frame or machine face.

The cross roller is what makes this different from a plain plunger. Two rollers are set at right angles across the head, so the switch accepts contact from more than one approach direction and still rolls rather than scrapes. That reduces wear on repeat cycles and keeps the trip point consistent, which a flat plunger head cannot do once a sliding cam has worn it down.

One normally open and one normally closed contact give a position signal and an interlock from a single unit. Rated 5A at 250V AC and 0.4A at 125V DC, it suits control circuits and PLC inputs rather than direct motor switching. IP65 sealing with oil tight, dust proof construction and stainless steel internals lets it work in machine shops and washdown areas. It is CE marked and made in Taiwan.

Common Applications

Panel door open and closed detection, machine guard and cover interlocks, slide and carriage end stops, jig and fixture position confirmation, cam sequencing on small machinery, drawer and hatch position sensing, and any point where the moving part presses directly onto the switch head.

Choosing the Right Limit Switch Actuator

Actuator choice comes down to how the moving part arrives. A plunger suits direct push in line with the switch. Where the part sweeps past from the side, a lever reaches out to meet it: the lever limit switch AZ-7120 is a compact side mount unit rated 10A.

If the contact point varies, the adjustable roller lever limit switch AZ-8108 lets you set the lever length, and the adjustable rod limit switch AZ-8107 reaches further onto irregular targets. Where an overrun could snap a rigid actuator, the spring limit switch AZ-8166 flexes and returns instead.

Higher ratings need a different body. The roller plunger limit switch AM-1308 carries 15A from a top roller plunger, and for heavy plant the big wheel limit switch AZ-5108L adds an oversized wheel with IP67 sealing. FAQ,s

What is a plunger limit switch?

It is a limit switch operated by a shaft that presses straight into the body. The moving part pushes the plunger down in line with the switch, which changes the contacts and signals the controller.

What does cross roller mean?

Two rollers are fitted across the head at right angles to each other. That lets the switch take contact from more than one direction while still rolling instead of scraping.

When should I use a plunger instead of a lever?

Use a plunger when the moving part approaches head on and there is little room around the switch. Use a lever when the part sweeps past from the side or the switch sits away from the travel path.

What does 1NO 1NC mean?

One normally open and one normally closed contact. When the plunger is pressed, the NO closes and the NC opens, giving two signals from one device.

Can it switch a motor directly?

No. At 5A resistive it is intended for control circuits, contactor coils and PLC inputs. For direct motor switching choose a higher rated model.

Is IP65 suitable for wet areas?

Yes. IP65 is dust tight and resists low pressure water jets, which covers washdown areas and machine shops with coolant.
