The Auspicious C112 is a Multi Step Rotary Cam Changeover Switch that gives you ten selectable positions plus a defined off position on a single knob. Marked 0 through 10 on the front plate, it lets an operator step through ten separate circuits or settings from one point on the panel door without adding ten separate switches.

Inside, stacked cam discs open and close the contacts in a fixed sequence as the shaft turns, so each position makes exactly the contacts intended and nothing else. That mechanical sequencing is what makes a cam switch the standard choice for multi position selection in control panels, where a rotary potentiometer or a bank of push buttons would be less reliable and harder to label.

The switch is rated 20A at 600V with one pole across ten steps and mounts on a 48mm by 48mm fixing plate, the same footprint as most panel meters and controllers, so it lines up neatly on a door layout. It carries UL, TUV, CE and CSA approvals, which matters for export panels and projects that get inspected against international standards.

FAQ Section

What is a cam switch used for?

A cam switch is a rotary control device where turning the shaft rotates internal cams that open and close contacts in a set sequence. It is used in control panels to select between circuits, modes or measurement points from a single knob.

How is a Multi Step Rotary Cam Changeover Switch different from a selector switch?

A standard selector switch usually offers two or three positions. A Multi Step Rotary Cam Changeover Switch carries multiple stacked cam decks, so it can provide many more steps, in this case ten positions plus off, in the same panel footprint.

Does the C112 have an off position?

Yes. Position 0 is a dedicated off step, so the switch can fully break the circuit before you rotate to any of the ten active positions.

What size panel cutout does this switch need?

The fixing plate measures 48mm by 48mm, matching the standard cutout used for panel meters and temperature controllers.

Can it be used on 415V three phase?

The switch is rated to 600V, so it is suitable for use at 415V. Note it is a single pole device, so it switches one line only. For switching all three phases together choose a 3 pole model.

Is a wiring diagram available?

Yes. Contact our team on +971 52 913 9543 and we can share the contact sequence chart for the C112.
