The Auspicious C113 is a Rotary Cam changeover switch offering eleven selectable positions plus a dedicated off step, all controlled from one knob. The front plate is marked 0 through 11, so an operator can address eleven separate circuits or settings from a single point on the panel door instead of a row of individual switches.

Rotary Cam construction is what makes that possible. Stacked cam discs sit on the shaft and mechanically open or close each contact set as the knob steps through its detents. Every position makes exactly the contacts intended and breaks the rest, so the switching sequence stays repeatable through years of use. That mechanical certainty is why panel builders specify cam switches for multi position selection rather than electronic alternatives.

The switch is rated 20A at 600V with one pole across eleven steps, and mounts on a 48mm by 48mm fixing plate, matching the standard cutout used by panel meters and temperature controllers. UL, TUV, CE and CSA approvals cover it for export panels and inspected projects.

Common Applications

Selecting between eleven measurement points on a shared meter, multi feeder voltmeter and ammeter selection, choosing one of several pumps, fans or heaters from a common control station, stage and speed selection on machinery, test benches and calibration rigs, and any panel where a single knob must address many circuits in a fixed order.

Choosing the Right Number of Steps

Step count should match the number of circuits you actually need to reach, since paying for unused positions only adds cost and confusion at the panel door. If eleven is more than you need, the same Rotary Cam range steps down cleanly: the 4 step switch C098, 5 position switch C102A, 7 position switch C108, 8 position switch C110 and 10 position switch C112 all share the same 20A rating and 48x48 plate.

For simple two or three way duty with automatic return, look at the 3 way rotary switch with one side spring return R215A or the four pole R217A momentary selector switch. Browse the complete selector and rotary cam switches range or the wider selector switches and isolators category.

FAQ

What is a Rotary Cam switch?

It is a manually operated switch where turning the shaft rotates internal cam discs that open and close contacts in a set sequence. Each detent position makes a defined set of contacts, which is what allows one knob to control many circuits.

How many circuits can the C113 select?

Eleven active positions plus a dedicated off position at 0, so twelve detents in total.

What is the difference between a Rotary Cam switch and a selector switch?

A selector switch usually offers two or three positions. A Rotary Cam switch uses stacked cam decks, so it can provide many more steps in the same panel footprint, in this case eleven.

What panel cutout does it need?

The fixing plate is 48mm by 48mm, the same standard cutout used for panel meters and temperature controllers.

Can it be used on a 415V three phase supply?

It is rated to 600V so 415V is within range, but this is a single pole device that switches one line only. For switching all three phases together, choose a multi pole model.

Is a contact sequence chart available?

Yes. Call or WhatsApp +971 52 913 9543 and our team will send the C113 contact diagram.
