The Auspicious AM-1308 is a roller type limit switch with a top plunger actuator, built to detect a moving part and switch a control circuit when that part arrives. The roller sits at the top of the plunger,so the moving part presses down onto it in line with the switch body rather than from the side.

The roller is the reason this model outlasts a plain plunger in repeat duty. A cam sliding across a bare plunger head scrapes it, and over thousands of cycles that wear changes the trip point and eventually jams the plunger. The roller turns instead of scraping, so friction stays low, the trip point stays consistent and the switch keeps working long after a plain plunger would have failed.

At 15A on 125 or 250V AC it carries far more current than a typical 5A micro switch, and the quarter horsepower rating means it can drive a small motor directly instead of going through a contactor. IP55 protection covers dust and low pressure water, which suits most machine and workshop environments.
