The Auspicious AZ-5106 is a flexible spring limit switch, also known as a wobble rod or wobble stick switch. Instead of a rigid lever or plunger, it uses a flexible rod on a spring base. Anything that touches the rod from any direction bends it, and that movement operates the contacts inside.

Direction independence is the reason this type gets specified. A lever only works when the moving part arrives on the expected line. A spring rod does not care: a load swinging on a crane, a pallet drifting off centre on a conveyor, or an operator walking into a trip line will all deflect it. It also survives overrun, because the rod simply bends further and springs back where a rigid actuator would snap off.

This is the heavy duty version of that design. The metal body is sealed to IP67, meaning fully dust tight and able to withstand temporary immersion, so it works outdoors, in washdown areas and in marine and port environments. Electrically it handles 10A at 125 or 300V AC, with 1HP switching at 250V AC, enough to control a small motor directly instead of going through a contactor.
